Rodeo!

It's been a while since I've been to a rodeo, and never to take pictures...
Here in UT, there's a state holiday on 24 Jul as Pioneer Day.  From what I can tell, it's the day that Brigham Young decided to stay in the Salt Lake Valley.  In Ogden, it's about a two week affair with parades and rodeos.  On 23 Jul, it was 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink' night...so cowboys can wear pink!

Prior to rodeo, there was a pre-show...mini-bull riding and mutton bustin'...what a great shot, I wish I could get this to her parents, since this shot is precious...

There were a few people from Stephenville and Hico TX entered...wow, I remember living in/near those towns...

So, the camera body I bought back in March will meter using my old lenses from when I first started this hobby.  I pulled my 50mm and a fish-eye conversion that I had and took this:

I only wish both sides were warped in a symmetric pattern.  Oh-well, at least I can use it!

I decided to play with my old 50mm lens today (manual focus, non-cpu lens).  My D7000 will let me use the lenses that I had with  my old film camera body.  Went flying...it was difficult to manually focus and fly ;-)

Not sure what this guy is...he was eating the seeds from my daisy's.  Didn't seem too perturbed that i was getting close.
